Limited 5-Year Warranty
American Vintage Handcrafted Furniture, store name Barn & Beam, known hereafter as AVHF, warrants to the original purchaser that it will, at its discretion, repair or replace any piece of furniture that is found to be defective in material or workmanship. After receiving a claim or notification of a claim, it may be necessary for AVHF to arrange for an inspection of your furniture to determine whether or not a defect exists.
Repairs will be attempted as the preferred resolution method in all cases. However, if AVHF or an authorized representative determines that repair is impractical, AVHF will furnish a substitute unit of the same or similar color, design, style, and quality. If the identical materials are not available at the time of repair or replacement we reserve the right to substitute materials of equal or greater value.
AVHF will honor reasonable and customary labor charges for the purpose of a warranty repair or replacement of warranty parts. An authorized AVHF service agent will perform warranty service. This warranty protects you only when you purchase your furniture from AVHF and is only applicable for normal household use, not commercial use.
Proper care and use are essential to preserving your rights under this warranty. You are responsible for basic maintenance, like tightening a bolt, wing nut, or wood screw. AVHF will not repair or replace your furniture if improper maintenance or use causes damage. This warranty does not apply if your AVHF product is damaged by the use of detergents, abrasives, or other harsh cleaning agents. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from negligence, abuse, normal wear and tear, or accidents including burns, cuts, scratches, tears, scuffs, water marks, indentations, pet damage, exposure to improper humidity levels, and/or unsanitary conditions.
For warranty claims and repairs it is your responsibility to send or deliver the item and a copy of your purchase receipt or invoice to the address of the AVHF showroom you purchased the item from. This warranty excludes any item, such as chairs, not manufactured by AVHF.

Custom Furniture Characteristics
AVHF/Barn & Beam specializes in custom-made furniture using real wood for all of its products. Many pieces are constructed with reclaimed wood and real barn beams. We prefer and actually seek out wood with cracks, twists, and color. This is the inherent character of wood and is not considered a defect.
Knots, dents, nail holes, saw marks, pegs, mortise and tenon notches, imperfections, brush marks, grain variations, new wood odor scent, black wood filler, sanding marks, planing marks and character features inherent to rustic quality are not to be considered defects.
Tops rest on a structural support frame, which may occasionally have gaps that can only be seen by looking under the table. This is normal and created to level out the tops.
Wood adjusts at different times of the year to the moisture content in the air. You may notice a slab move or even develop small cracks, which is not considered a defect. A dry home may cause the wood to move or crack more than a home with controlled humidity. Our wood is kiln dried to minimize wood movement.
Reclaimed wood generally consists of pine, fir, and oak. We occasionally come across and use other species.
No two pieces are ever exactly alike, color varies from board to board nor do we guarantee any piece will look exactly like a specific photo.
These Terms and Conditions take effect when your order payment has been made.
